Do any Real Estate Agents help with helping renters find properties?

I am moving to Melbourne in 4 weeks for work (originally from New Zealand) and have been looking online at apartments but would love the help of a Real Estate Agent to send through some suitable options that I could sign a lease for before I arrive. Is this a usual practice for renters in Melbourne or do you just represent yourself?
