Looking for a safe and affordable apartment in Melbourne.

My husband and I have recently moved to Melbourne and we are looking for a private unfurnished, one bedroom apartment/house for us that is in an affordable yet safe suburb that we can rent out till late Dec/early Jan. We are looking for a family oriented, quiet place that has high schools near it as well since my husband is interested in part time math teaching. Our budget is around 250 to 280 dollars per week and would like to move within two weeks. We are both professionals and tidy people who would not be making a lot of noise and would like privacy as well. Please suggest us something that suits us! Thanks!
