I looooove visiting Warrandyte, not just for the beautiful scenery, but I always have a wander around Ratty & Moles Riverbank Antiques (http://www.rattyandmoles.com/). There are so many little rooms packed to the rafters it is so much fun to explore. It can be a little squishy at times so take care with any oversized handbags haha!!!

The biggest and best place I know of for antiques is down on the Mornington Peninsula at Tyabb Packing House https://www.tyabbpackinghouseantiques.com.au/. They have a massive collection of vintage clothes, furniture, jewellery, old technology, memorabilia, posters, books, art and bric a brac. You'll spend hours exploring all the different rooms and curiosities throughout the packing shed. Afterwards, stop by their historic cafe for homemade scones with jam and cream. YUM!

While you're out that way peruse collectables, vintage clothing and antiques at The Vintage Shed http://www.thevintageshed.com.au/ & The Bottom Drawer Antiques http://www.thebottomdrawerantiques.com/ in Moorooduc & Tyabb.

Ooh, so many! Some of my go-to's are:

For antique antiques, the Camberwell antique market is pretty great. Lots of smaller locked up 'cabinet' items including some great antique jewellery.
High St Armadale is riddled in higher-end antiques
Smith St Collingwood has a few higher end Mid-century stores.

There's some more junky potluck places like Lost and Found market in Brunswick East, also Glen Waverly bazaar is one of the biggest in Melbs filled with heaps of different stall holders selling all kind of second hand/vintage/antique wares. It's in a ginorrrmous warehouse so set aside a couple of hours. Similarly, there's another one in Kilsyth called Hunted.
These 'pot luck-y' places are often more affordable because you will have to rummage and spend time going through a huge range of items, that might need restoration or even sometimes cleaning compared to well curated and high-end stores that stock hand-picked items meaning you don't need to devote all of your weekends searching to find what you're after, it's there, restored and ready to put into your home.

Keep in mind that Antiques aren't in high demand at the moment, so even the best antique stores are stocking retro/mid-century items, even products up to the 1990's are all in high demand. So you'll get a really good mix of era's and cool stuff to look at!
