Why is Merriwa rated so badly and Clarkson, next door, so good?

Why is there such a difference - apart from the shopping right nearby. Sounds like a bad area, but why so much of a distinction?

There's good and bad in every suburb! Take a drive through old Clarkson or Butler and you'll find there's no difference. Anyone that has built in the new part of Clarkson in the last 5 years will say they live in Somerly. Gone are the days of ever walking alone at night in ANY suburb! People that are down on the suburb have their head in the sand if they think their suburb is better!

Thanks. I agree - all suburbs can have their bad patches. And, I forgot about the Somerly name as well. Of course, that does sound better!
