Areas for families in the Gold Coast

Hi All,
We have two young kids aged 8 and 9 and are planning to move to the Gold Coast next year. We would like some advice on some of the areas we liked during our visits. We were looking around Helensvale, Coomera and surrounding areas. Also liked some parts of the south around Mudgeereba, Robina and surrounding areas. Also if anyone would like to suggest other areas, we are open to suggestions.
Just wanted some of your thoughts on whether these areas are suitable for families, what the areas, schools etc are like. We would also like to move to a quiet area, as where we are now is close to shops and a bit too busy for our liking.
We are planning another trip to the Gold Coast to check out parts we like, so any help and info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Philbert,
The Gold Coast is a great place to live, we moved here 2005 and we have never looked back. A lot of suburbs have pockets in them that are great for families. I think you need to narrow it down a bit by looking at the schools that might best suit your children and where you will be working. TSS and St Hilda’s are two very popular private schools up here but with All Saints probably being one of the most sought after. The areas you have mentioned are very different and varied. Some have a very strong rental presence which in some of these areas is not good. Do you want to be near the beach or Broadwater? Live in a house or complex? I have a few areas I particularly like but without a stronger idea of your family’s needs it hard to say. If you let me know what you would like to be close to I'll let you know my thoughts. Hope this helps.

Hi Philbert,
I personally love Robina and the surrounding areas, cant go wrong, great schools, shopping, transport, medical, uni, day-care and a great place to bring up the family. I have lived, worked and raised my family here after leaving Sydney 12 years ago and have not looked back. Good luck with it all.

Hi Marie, thank you for your reply. Robina is one of the areas we are now seriously considering. It seems to tick all the boxes. We're also looking at nearby mudgeereba as another option. We'll be house hunting soon and hope to find something in those areas close to schools. Thanks for your feedback, it's much appreciated.

Hi Phil, Can I please ask if you ended up moving to the GC? I'm in the process of researching those same areas, as we are looking to move in 12 months time. Thanks

Hi there my family and I are relocating from NZ to the Gold Coast in March and would love to know a bit more about Ormeau Hills and nearby suburbs/education. We have two children aged 3 and 9months. Thank you

MUDGEERABA for sure, it is super quiet with good land space when compared to Robina.
Close to M1 which means you can be at south or north GC within 20mins.
Also Mudgee has lots of parks and walks in the area.
There are many greats schools (public and private) in the area.
