Excelsior Park Estate in Morayfield - I want to buy there but worried about its reputation

I have found a lovely house to buy in Excelsior Park Estate, but I didnt realise the area had such a bad reputation. What do other people do who live in the estate? Surely there is a way to live in a lovely area but not subject my children to the undesirables? Does 'Moronfield' really exist, or are there parts of it that are ok?

I lived near excelsior park as a kid and it's fine, nice area. Morayfield gets its reputation from the Morayfield shopping centre and train station, which are both a good 15-20 minute drive from excelsior park.
Also those "undesirables" are still people and should be addressed as such, have a little empathy.
