Other good alternatives are, Community Center of Northern Westchester, www.communitycenternw.org/. in Katonah and The Benefit Shop,
Home - The Benefit Shop,www.thebenefitshop.org/ in Bedford Hills and Share House, www.furnituresharehouse.org/ in White Plains.
When I have had clothing to donate I have given it to the Community Center in Katonah for distribution to registered needy families. When you want to shop for home items and clothing, go the The Katonah Thrift Shop which is next to the Katonah Firehouse. They are open from 10-4 during the week except for Thursdays when they are closed for meetings and are open on the weekend on Sat from 10-1. Money raised goes to donations for local charities plus they are the largest contributor to the Katonah Library. We have had incredible finds there! For twenty dollars last January as my son was about to start an internship he found a Harris Tweed blazer plus a Ralph Lauren black cashmere overcoat! Do ask me about my many treasures...when I should be donating by the car load! Here is my article on the History of The Katonah Woman's Civic Club!

There is also one in Somers, in the Somers Commons shopping center on Route 6.
The nearest Goodwill is in Croton-on-Hudson which is about eight miles away.
