The good and the bad in Mullum.

We are in our mid and end 50's. My wife is a Reg Nurse and I'm a Paramedic. Time has come to get out of Sydney area, downsize and life the good life. Time has come to retire. We love Mullum and all the people. We just don't want to see Mullum through our "holiday" glasses. Could someone tell us what it is really like to live there? Shopping, Medical Care... Thank you in advance. We love you guys in Mullem :)

There’s a new medical centre being built- shopping is ample- I recently needed a new bed , smeg oven and dishwasher all bought in mullum fir competitive prices. General food shopping is excellent- plenty of individual butchers delis, fruit and veg and whole food shops, herbal dispensary etc, the pool is fantastic! There’s a gym too and plenty of other community activities like the repair shop and men’s shed. My husband enjoys the local golf course here. It’s a beautiful town because it is full of residents not holiday makers- we also have a good range of quality restaurants and Asian seems to be the theme with really good offerings of fabulous food. Prices here are more sensible than local Brunswick heads and Byron and yet we have all the facilities to make it a functioning working town! I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!
