Spring I reckon, but we love winter and open fires so if you do, you will love it. Summer will be hot...

Well you could say all year round - but depends whether you like the cold or the heat. There are specific camping grounds so you have toilets and showers nearby, but if you want to do some bush walking it is probably best to aim for spring or autumn for the best weather.
