"A thriving commercial centre in the heart of the Barossa"
Nuriootpa is the most commercial and industrial of the main towns in the Barossa Valley. This is reflected in the nature of its main street - Murray Street. The street is really 'down to business'. It has two very large shopping centres, a number of businesses, hotels and other shops. Traffic is consistently heavy, and quite noisy too.
Despite the noise and the traffic, this is a good spot to raise a family. There are a number of houses along Murray Street - some in federation style and others simple brick, all with large gardens. There are both primary and secondary schools within walking distance from here, as well as lots of sporting facilities including an oval, tennis courts and a swimming pool.
