Employment Opportunities?

I am looking to retire from the police force and move to Muswellbrook. I have an 18 month old child. Ive noticed some people mention great employment opportunities? Can you offer any advice in relation to getting my foot in the door at the mines or the best way to go about gaining employment two or three days a week? Much appreciated.
