Reviews of Nash Ln, Morphett Vale

"Great place to live, sometimes has lots of parked cars on both sides of the road"

We have lived in Nash Lane since 2002 when new homes were built on the Western side. We quickly became the best of friends with the neighbours on one side. Rest of the street is a mixture of people who will say 'Hi' or raise their hand in greeting, or the quieter ones who keep to themselves. We aren't of anyone who is troublesome or unfriendly. No problems with noisy neighbours and I don't think that there is excessive traffic noise when you are indoors.

We are approximately 15 minutes drive to Westfield Marion in one direction or Centrol Colonnades in the opposite. Closer to home, 5-10 minutes drive to Southgate Plaza, or Woodcroft Shopping Centre.

For fast food we have 'Junk Food 'corner, and also a couple of good local restaurants in Morphett Vale, we like MIngs Court on Main South Road. Closest pub is the Woodcroft Tavern and we have had a couple of good meals there too.

There is a doctors surgery on States Road, but I prefer Christies Beach medical centre for availability of a doctor on the same day when you are unexpectedly sick and need a certificate for work. Good dentist on corner of Main South Road/Blackburn Street, Reynella. We use National Pharmacies Optometrist at Christies Beach.

In all of the time we have lived here we have never had a power cut for more than about 10 minutes, luckily. Part of Nash Lane must be on a different grid though, as some residents have had a few that lasted several hours. We have had brilliant reception for our mobiles, and have broadband internet through Optus. Don't know about cable TV though, hardly have time to watch free-to-air TV.

Occasionally get a few noisy people walking by late on a Friday or Saturday night, but not often. Biggest complaint would be negotiating the parked cars in the evening and at weekends. I wouldn't recommend that you let kids play on the street, as it is not as wide as some, and despite the speed humps, there is a fair amount of traffic from people taking shortcuts.

We don't see property for sale too often, but when there is, it is usually snapped up quite quickly.

Overall, I feel safe and happy living here and, even though I have a 45 minute drive to work, I wouldn't want to move.

I would be interested to read the views of other Nash Lane residents, just so I know if we are just lucky where we are.
