Are there any particular bad areas to avoid in Nerang to live

I moved to Nerang from Varsity Lakes, it's a great place with great neighbours and neighbourhood. As for crime, it's far safer then Varsity Lakes, Miami and most of the gold coast. Not sure about the reports saying otherwise but look for yourself, you can see crime stats on QLD police website. Mostly owner occupied homes now so matit was bad in the past but now it's great.
