Best Places for People Watching
Now that it's getting nicer out, I thought I'd open up suggestions for best places to people watch. I love the random people who will sit on the bench next to you at Joe in the West Village. . . some really interesting characters. What is your favorite?

My pics are Union Square and anywhere on Bedford Ave in Williamsburg. Both places must be frequented during warm, pleasant weather and during shopping hours on a weekend afternoon. A surprising amount of freaks can be seen.

@BroadwayBk totally agree with you about Union Square but I think any alfresco joint in the city is great for people watching including all the perennial hot spots like Pastis, Bagatelle etc..

Anywhere in Soho. Grab a seat and watch it all from the tourists to the locals...

@JenMac: Union Square or even Times Square are places where people congregate the most. So those places would be points of interest if I wanted to do any people watching.
