Favorite perogi spot

Mine is Christine's in Greenpoint. But, I'm always on the lookout for some other suggestions. Man, I love perogi.

The only place I've actually ever had pierogi is Veselka on 9th St, which I recommend. They are especially busy at brunch time, so beware.

The Streecha Ukrainian Kitchen is amazing! At 33 East 7th Street, in the basement. It's barely ever open, and you could easily miss it. It's run by a bunch of old Ukrainian women who cook everything themselves. Definitely an insider's place. Veselka's nothing by comparison.

@DBlack Are they open on Sunday? I have my Russian Sauna plan and will be in the mood for Russian edibles as well.

Good to know, @Dblack! I think Veselka has great atmosphere, but more as a "cool" hangout spot than as a foodie joint

Ha! They're the only pierogis I've ever had, soooo... obviously I need to branch out.
