Ok, this video is THREE years old and not one thing has changed about Williamsburg. And, they say gentrification is upon us (scoff). This video is long but it's genius and my fellow Brooklyners will really appreciate it. The contestant profiles make me laugh out loud every time I watch it.

Hah! The initial scene with the contestants looks like something out of Monty Python.

Yeah, it is taken from Monty Python. I saw this two years ago and thought it was hilarious. especially the part where they stare down a guy to make him feel bad, and one guy gets rid of his Manitoba record as a "preemptive strike" lol

I love the dude whose weakness is "Darfur" and who gets rid of the Beatles Yellow Submarine . . .like, dude, you didn't discover the Beatles before everyone else. That thing never gets old to me. . . especially since nothing has changed.

Great video! The deadpan tone is really a classic...

Oh, man! Someone posted this vid on my MySpace ages ago, when people still used MySpace, sort of!

But I have to say that last time I got off the L at Bedford I saw plenty of new families, complete with strollers and little bundles of joy. So either the hipsters are getting gentrified by people even whiter and richer than them or they are just getting too old to be proper hipsters.

Oh no, BroadwayBk: they are still very much alive and well. A lot of them moved back to Lorimer and Graham but there are still plenty of pratt punks lurking around Relish et al.
