Playing it Safe
I don't know about you but that raises a safety bar for me. In other words, I will be more cautious when going in that area in the future. I won't stop going. I would just be more alert than usual.
How do the rest of you feel about it? Is it business as usual? Or are you going to be more alert as well?

Growing up in East New York Brooklyn, I learned from a young age to pay attention when I am out and about. I am always conscious of my surroundings. I am always looking around and would not necessarily say I am on alert, but always aware of whats around me, especially since the 911 terror attacks.
@hhusted i guess the city is extremely jumpy just heard right now that the Triborough bridge has been shut down because of a suspicious abandoned truck.

Apparently it was nothing, thank goodness! And thank goodness this latest bomber seems to be woefully incompetent (locked his keys in his car! come ON!)
When I heard this morning he locked his keys in the car and had to commute I laughed. I know this is a very serious matter, but thank God he is incompetent and no one was injured.
@Everybody: I am glad the attempt failed. Goodness knows what would have happened if it had succeeded.
