random bar food

I was at Boulevard Tavern in Williamsburg today and they had all you can eat bbq. Then, we went to Daddy's which had hot dogs. I wonder, aside from the (actually pretty good) pizza at Alligator and Crocodile Lounge . . . best random bar food?

yes ajdadedidealist that's a great link.. have never really been to a bar that serves free bar food in the city.. the most I have ever got is bowls full of wasabi nuts at Tao in Midtown.

Broke-Ass Stuart's NYC Guide also has a whole section devoted to free bar food. They've got a website:

http://brokeassstuart.com/category/ny/

But sadly don't publish that section on the website. I guess they have to give you an incentive to buy the books.

@ajadedidealist love them myself :) can't stop scarfing them once I start.. actually Trader Joe's has a really nice nut mixture seasoned with a Thai Chili Lime spice mixture .. think you will enjoy those as well.

Keens Chophouse on 36th Street. They used to have free Swedish meatballs in gravy. It's a pretty high-end place, though. Totally old school. Definitely not a hipster place. But great meatballs.

@uptowngirl That's another really nice site. I've been looking in my neighborhood see about the places I normally don't think to frequent when I want to go for a drink nearby.

I was really happy when I discovered that Daddy's had hotdogs. But nothing can really beat those bars - Lulu's, Alligator Lounge - that spot you a free pizza with every drink purchase. I've never been to Crocodile Lounge, but that pizza in the picture looks delicious.

@uptowngirl Love that site! Didn't know there were so many happy hour options in Park Slope on a Sunday.

@uptowngirl I know exactly what you are talking about with the Thai Chili Lime seasoned nuts. I actually had forgotten about those! Now I've got to make a trip to TJ's. Also, love the happy hour site.
