Recycling Collection Days Change In NYC

Recycling affects all of us. We all buy products that need to be recycled. When we use up the product, we discard it in a bag or container and then throw it in a recycle bin that may be located in front of the building, depending on where you live.

Well, recycling collection will change. To learn more about these changes, check out this website:

Hopefully you or your landlord won't get caught with recycles out on the wrong day and get ticketed for it.

I talked to my super and he told me he doubts that the sanitation department will give out tickets for a while as supers and landlords adjust to the new schedule.

Thank you for the link, @hhusted! It's good to see recycling becoming higher on people's priorities! I do need to practice what I breach, though; admittedly, I can be quite lazy...

I get confused regarding what is to be recycled and what doesn't. I just look at the material, and if it has the symbol for recycling, that is the bin it goes into.

Oh, that's bad. Does it cause stink or simply a big pile of unwanted recycles?
