Romantic Date Ideas?

So, after spending my Christmas break trying to think up Romantic Things to Do with my boyfriend, I realized just how wonderful NYC is for dating - plenty of low-cost activities to cater to all interests. So, what's your perfect First Date in NYC.

Mine is....Afternoon at the Neue Gallery followed by tea at Cafe Sabarsky (alternative: wandering the Met and tea at the Met Cafe) OR a long walk through the West Village, a classic film at the Film Forum, and then dinner in the East Village - maybe at Banjara or Holy Basil. Or just wandering the Strand with a potential beau for four hours! what about you guys?

The Met is a really great first date location, in my opinion.

Looking at the bridges from the South Street seaport never ceases to astonish me, but the pseudo-mall surroundings and lame discotheque atmosphere at night can get in the way. Which is a pity.

@Uraniumfish I love the view from South Street Seaport, but the mall really kills it for me too.

This is just not a city for malls.

I've been having a lot of date nights in the Boreum Hill/ Fort Greene area of Brooklyn. It's a really pretty area for strolling, and there are a lot of nice restaurants to pop in to - especially on Atlantic - if you're not one for a lot of planning.
