To chase away the winter blues we’ve put together a list of some of the most affordable beachside properties currently up for sale, so you can finally buy that beach house you’ve always wanted in preparation for the warmer weather and happy holidays ahead.

If you thought a second house, let alone a beach house was only a luxury for the rich and famous think again. For well under the cost of a pokey inner city apartment, you can get your very own beach house escape, where the following seven coastal suburbs having median house prices (MHP) well under $300k (CoreLogic RP Data).

Granted these bargain buys may not be the most glamorous of homes or in the hottest holiday destinations, but they are away from the hustle and bustle of city life with nature, sun and surf on your doorstep. What more do you really need in a relaxing holiday home?

Russell Island, QLD
