Featuring well maintained public reserves along waterfront (with amenities such as BBQ's, toilets, playgrounds, etc), and walking tracks through the surrounding bush. Nords Wharf enjoys an elevated position that affords most houses with views across the lake.

The village has its own Primary School, Day Care Centre, and General Store/Post Office, with major supermarkets and other facilities under 10mins by car.

Neighbouring Nords Wharf on the Pacific Ocean is Catherine Hill Bay, a historic township originally settled as a whaling station. The pristine beach at Catho is a popular haunt for surfers and is guarded by the Catherine Hill Bay Surf Life Saving Club making it a safe spot for families.
