Trendy and fun as can be! Wicker Park is one of my favorite neighborhoods in Chicago, but I'm a 27 year old guy, so I'm a bit biased to fun and excitement. It is very safe and the people are friendly, though I don't know that I'd want to raise kids there. It can be a bit loud. Not horrible by any means, but it's not really perfect for a family in my opinion.

Wicker Park is a fairly trendy area, with lots to do. Housing isn't too expensive and public transportation is really easy from here to all areas of the city. There are lots of shopping areas and restaurants as well.
