I may have to move to this region for work, looking for reasonable rental properties around?
I don't want fancy or large - and ideally would like a rural place, where I could have a few chickens. I have a large dog, who is very well behaved, being mostly a sofa dweller. If you can point me at a place to look, or actual properties, I would be very grateful. There are many opportunities for me in Macquarie park and surrounding business, so anywhere within reasonable traveling distance to there would be fantastic.

From what I have noticed, rents are reasonable in North Rocks, but would suggest consulting realestate.com.au for a full listing. Blocks are generally quarter acre in North Rocks, so shouldn't be hard to find a suitably sized yard. Depending on where you need to travel, being close to the M2 bus station has its perks (quick travel to city, Macquarie, even Chatswood).
