It is relatively safe. Within one mile of the corner of Bermuda and Darby in the last 6 months there have been 148 crimes reported, mostly minor. Here are the most notable crimes:
6 assaults
30 burglaries
1 rape
6 robberies
The only one of those on the high side are the burglaries. Overall though, given the density, I think that you are okay.
