The creek flows through toward the freeway at the bottom of Childs Road leading up to the Nudgee suburb, and there has recently been upgraded stormwater infrastructure to support large volumes of water. I've lived through three wet-season's here, including the 2011 QLD Flood season, and Nudgee didnt have any issues with floodwater or blocked drains at all. There was of course surface water, but that was everywhere in Brisbane and cleared relatively quickly. Childs road does have a fair amount of surface water during high rainfall, but i believe they have put curb and channel in there now. It used to run across the road and make a little bit of a mess - again, nothing for concern and definately no where near as bad as some southern suburbs I've seen.

Sorry, by creek, i mean, the area that would flood and turn into a creek during high rainfall. In dry season there is no creek there.

No flooding at Nudgee as it's quite elevated and has no rivers through it.
