Is Oaks Estate safe for my family?
My family is thinking of moving to Oaks Estate so we were wondering if its a safe suburb to live in?

Do you live in Oaks Estate jane5? I would ascertain this is very misleading. Oaks Estate is an extremely quiet and safe area to live. I can vouch for that as I live there. I have 4 kids who have never encountered a safety issue and have walked the streets without so much of a boo from anybody. It is no different from most of Canberras suburbs, only we enjoy large blocks, tree lined streets in a quiet county like atmosphere with access to the river walks and off leash areas for dogs. It also is in close proximity to Canberra airport, Queanbeyan shops, Fyswick and the prized zoning of both Telopea School and Narrabundah College.
