Orrong Road, Toorak, VIC 3142

Between Toorak Rd and St Georges Rd, Orrong Rd is a beautiful street with a combination of apartments and grand homes. Lined with plane trees, the street is aesthetically very pleasing and the tasteful architecture of the residences lends itself to the overall street appeal.

While at times, Orrong Rd can get a fair bit of passing traffic, it is usually very peaceful. There are round-abouts on the North side of Orrong Rd which help slow traffic however you do get the occasional speed demon flying along.

For a young person, Toorak is not the most hip place hence there is little to no nightlife in the village. It's somewhat reminiscent of an exclusive retirement home. Chapel St saves the day as it is a short distance away and that makes up for the youth deficiency many times over.

Living among some of Melbourne's monolithic houses is a pleasant proposition. The streets are stunning, the gardens are immaculate and the architecture is mostly outstanding. As long as you can look past some of the local's awfully pretentious ways, Orrong Rd Toorak is a real gem.
