Check out the Pawling Free Library too. It's in a Victorian building built in 1898. It's a pretty cool place and of course there are a lot of books!

The Oblong Friends Meeting House was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. It was build in 1763 for the Religious Society of Friends. The John Kane House, one of the many places claiming to be "Washington's Headquarters" was built in 1740, expanded in 1810, and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
