It all depends on what you want, what you value & what lifestyle you aspire to. If you don't mind living in one area for lifestyle and be prepared to travel for work, or you want your children to go to certain schools, or live near family.

Being in the middle ring of Sydney can give you the freedom to be in the easy reach of most places.

We have awesome Indian and sri Lankan in Toongabbie, I was chatting with some one that drove from castle hill just to try it!

Based on your name, if Indian based eating places and spice shops are important then I would suggest Homebush or Pendle Hill area. There is a big price difference between them though.
