Local Churches, Schools and swimming spots ?

Hi there, My husband and I are planning to move up in two years, we visited this year and fell in love ( our 3rd visit to Queensland to find places to live) . We are looking to join a church community, are there any local churches or churches within half an hour anyone would attend? Also, if your kids go to one of the local primary schools, please tell me what you think about them? We are moving from Victoria for a seachange and to nest :)
if you know of any great snorkelling locations within an hour of the place either way, love to hear from you also .
