Pilsen is a diverse neighborhood with its small businesses, street art, tattoo parlors, bike shops, restaurants, nightlife, etc. The summer weekends are filled with street fairs, art fairs, music, etc. In the past 5-10 years many cultures have shared space within Pilsen making it a vibrant city neighborhood. Where Pilsen has a cool art vibe and monthly gallery crawl, it has issues related to pollution from nearby plants. Also, as a woman you won't want to be on side streets after dark.
