Interested to read the previous comments I noticed one referred to a Bank ... is that one only and is it the Commonwealth. Also re medical Centers, what happens if hospitalisation is needed, is Lithgow where you have to go to be admitted, or are taken? Ross
If you have to go to hosp in a hurry Lithgow 1st then transport you to Katoomba or Bathurst or really bad Nepean or Westmead it's not the best if you have a heart problem I'm sad to say you may not make it if you have to wait for a ambo because it takes about 30 mins to get to portland and 30 back to Lithgow hosp
Portland Paradise. This town is one of the best kept secrets in NSW. Only 2,000 people reside there but it has a good amount of tourists traveling through. This is a friendly town that people from the city would love. The locals are good solid country people who are happy to have a chat. The town is extremely well serviced with a supermarket and many other amenities. A wonderful place especially if you want to get away from the crime and stress of city life. So glad my wife and I made the decision to live here.
