Gangs in Kingscliff

Just wondering if people with young children living in Kingscliff or Pottsville experience anything scary with regards to gangs? Have been reading about youth in the area & the crime. Looking for the best schools & safest most friendly areas for families in the Tweed area as my husband will be working in Tweed Heads. Many thanks!
