There is also a walking trail from the town park to Scott's Corners which is the town center.

Ward Pound Ridge Reservations is a 4700 acre park that consists of 35 miles of hiking and cross country skiing trails. There are also horse trails and campgrounds. Maps are available at the Trailside Museum in the center of the park as well as the main entrance which is one Route 121 just south of Route 35 in Cross River.

The Mianus River Gorge Preserve is off of route 172 in Bedford, NY (just near Pound Ridge border). This a great hiking trail for kids or beginners as the trails are fairly flat. It is open April to November, 8:30 - 5pm.

Some of the other more well known with trails include:

•Bye Preserve
•Clark Preserve
•The Halle Ravine
•Morgenthau Preserve
•Wilderness Walk
•Trinity Reservoir (must register at the Recreation office 179 Westchester Ave. PR)

Happy Hiking!

Ward Pound Ridge Park has lots of trails. The Mianus River Gorge Preserve also has 5 miles of trails, though they are only open between April and November.
