"Wonderful Neighbourhood Learning Centre and close proximity to Melbourne University, parks and inner north."
Carlton Neighbourhood Learning Centre has a focus on sustainable food production and household recycling. Princes St has a supermarket, florist with very fresh flowers, a wine bar and close links to parks, Carlton Baths, Rathdowne Village, Melbourne University, Melbourne Museum and Melbourne Zoo.

"Major thoroughfare"
This is a major road for those travelling east-west, an exit point for traffic from the Eastern Freeway. Most days, traffic is heavy. Peak hours on weekdays, it is a clearway. There is no relief on weekends because of cars parked along the street causing bottle neck.
In a nutshell, stay away unless you don't mind the traffic, noise and car fumes.
