"Proston is one of the South Burnett’s hidden gems."

The picturesque village of Proston is a town which is growing due to the affordable property prices, great local services, caring community and with an easy commute to local towns.

Located 1.5 hours to Gympie, 2.5 hours from the Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba, 30 minutes to Murgon and 45 minutes to Kingaroy. Proston is a well-serviced small country town which prides itself on friendliness and community spirit. The village of Proston has all your day to day facilities including The Golden Spurs Hotel, Proston Primary School, post office, SPAR grocery store, NB department store, tea room, library, laundromat, Scout Group, Police and Ambulance Station, urban and rural fire brigades, new community hall, Mens Shed, Show Grounds plus tennis, golf, bowls and swimming clubs.

You are only about 15 minutes from boating, fishing, swimming, kayaking, bird-watching and picnicking at Boondooma Dam with your family and friends The Dam is a drawcard for anglers, campers, bird-watchers and water-sports enthusiasts. The dam was purpose-built in 1983 to provide a water supply to the Tarong Power Station. In recent years, under the careful direction of the former Wondai Shire Council and now the South Burnett Regional Council, it has been developed into a major regional recreation area where the fishing is excellent and amenities second to none.

Proston is one of the South Burnett’s hidden gems. So close to everything you need, yet far enough away to really experience the best of acreage living.
