I hope you can help me with this question.

My family will be moving to Brisbane this year. We have been homeowners in New Zealand (for the past 7 years) and Samoa (for 8 years before that), and have never rented before, so cannot produce a reference from a landlord. What references can we use when we apply to rent a property?

Any work references and a reference from your bank. They must be work references that are full time employment ones. Hope this helps. Only rent for s short period and then buy a house as soon as you can.
