Then you'll be fine out here. To be honest it just depends where you live for how often it gets overcast, but California is known for it's sunny weather and SoCal earns every part of that. Just know that the closer you live to the beach, (think Camarillo and Ventura) you will get morning and evening fog a bit more then everyone else. And mid valley has smog instead.
