I paid 1220 for a top story 2 bedrrom 1 bath 1100 square foot ravenswood apartment that was half a block from the metra stop. Wonderful apartment, great deal. Loved the proximity to andersonville and lincoln square.
When I was hunting most of the 2 bedrooms I saw in this area were 1100-1400 and that was in 2010. Neighborhood has some great deals (never seen a 2000 2 bedroom here). Check craigslist.

Ravenswood isn't the cheapest place so you could spend as much as $2000 a month for a 2 bedroom apartment, but you can find much better deals in the $1200-$1300 range.
