Variety in shopping and food - what retail is good and what's missing in Rhodes?

I've been considering moving to Rhodes from the North Shore. My biggest concern is variety in shopping and food. What's retail like in the area - cafes, take away, resturants, groceries etc? Is there any retail missing that would be awesome to have in the area?
