Ridgwood has several public open spaces within the suburb but if you seek something a bit more secluded, located on the other side of the freeway there is a very large nature reserve with extensive bike/walking trails that have interconnecting tunnels that go under the main roads, there is access via Lukin Drive and Hester Avenue.
