"Overall great suburb in Sydney's West"

Been living in Ropes Crossing for over 3 years now and I couldn't be happier with it. Having said that, it doew come with a few downsides.

Pros:
- quiet neighbourhood
- educated middle class families
- good amount of greens everywhere do walking/running is always nice
- st Mary's station is only 2-3km away

Cons
- bit far from CBD in you have to travel for work
- no Nightlife
- not many local restaurants for eating out

"A beautiful safe town surrounded by lush green trees/nature. A complete value for money houses."

We have recently bought a house in Ropes Crossing and absolutely love the place. Earlier did a lot of research and inspected many properties at Schofiled and Ponds and was amazed to see the value for money here at the same distance from Sydney City as Schofileds and Ponds (with way higher prices) would offer.
When you enter the RC, you will have a very good feel of community with kids riding bicycle, joggers running etc. This is a new town ship with big and beautiful houses around.
A handy shopping complex with Coles, Local grocery,Docter, Pharmacist ,Day care etc.
Ropes crossing school has a very good rating.

Marsden park and Eastern creek shopping will boost the house prices and demand of this suburb even further.
In last 2 years, There are so many premium suburbs corrected by 15-20% in prices with RC just 5-7% of impact tells the story of its resilience and strong footing.

Jordan spring east is going to be connected to Ropes Crossing in near future and Lend Lease seems to have some plans to build sporting facilities and business park which will sit in between RC and Jordan spring.

Well connected from buses and St. Marys station with 4-5 mins of drive and Fast trains to City (50 mins) makes the one way trip to city under an hour.

"Good suburb for the right people"

I have been living here for just more than a year.
It is a quiet suburb with decent facilities for small families, like Parks, Children's play area and schools nearby, etc.

My only cons:
* It is so far from the CBD which makes travelling for work very difficult.
* It does not have its own Train station, so you'll have to use the St Mary's station.
* It is surrounded by a few dodgy suburbs but it does not really affect me.
* No NBN here (yet) It is planned for 2020.

Hello, yes it does and I believe some areas like mine was recently upgraded from FTTC to FTTP technology so it's faster now. I'm with Telstra NBN and pretty happy with it.

"Love to live in ropes crossing"

Ropes crossing is one of the beautiful, well established and hidden gem in western Sydney with pretty good houses. Have a look into the google maps street view. The whole suburb is surrounded by Wianamatta nature reserve where you get fresh air every time. You can see lots of parks, lakes and small ponds inside the suburb. There is a big play ground and a couple of basket ball and tennis courts. You can have ample amount of parking space. There is one abondoned Ropes Creek Station which is now children play area.

The suburb has a medium shopping mall which has as Coles, Medical (GP), Pharmacy, Child Care, Indian grocerries and restuarant, coffee shop and Beauty Parlour. New shops like Butcher, optometrist, restuarant are coming soon. You can have access to Mt Druitt Westfield, St Marrys Village Shopping Center, Penrith Westfield, Nepean Hospital (Penrith) and Mt Druitt hospital which will take less than 10 mins drive. The Ropes Crossing public school which is a public private partnership school with very good ratings.

It takes only 3-4 mins drive from Coles Central to St Mary's station since it's a straight road with couple of roundabouts. Otherwise you can take a bus (Route 759 and 780) which it stops inside the suburb. It take only 50 mins to CBD if you take a fast train. Also M4 and M7 are close and it will take only 50 mins drive to city. The newly built Marsden Park business center (Ikea, Bunnings etc) is just 15 mins drive from Ropes Crossing. The new extension of Jordan Spring East is adjacent to Ropes Crossing.

The nieghbours here are very helpful all the time. If you are family of professional with kids, this is one of the best suburbs to live. Check www.ropescrossing.com.au for more details.
