I would recommend Banyule Junior Footy club, Banyule Cricket Club (our kids do Auskick & Milo cricket there- located on Beverley Rd, Heidelberg). Also En Shin karate in Montmorency is fantastic.
It depends on what sports your kids are into & where you live. Most of the clubs in the area are really well run & great for families.
