Are dogs allowed on the beach in Safety Bay?

Yes they are. Many people walk their dogs along the foreshore and path alongside Safety Bay beach daily. There are clear signs to state which part of the beach dogs are permitted and where penalties/fines apply. The stretch between Waikiki Beach and Safety Bay Jetty dogs are not permitted but beyond the Jetty towards Shoalwater they are (just double check signs to make sure) also dogs are not permitted on Tern Island as big fines apply as it is protected over there due to Terns breeding there.
