Reviews of Seville, VIC

"Peaceful & Relaxing"

Seville is the place to be. Live, day trip, family time, wine time, any time! With its beautiful vineyards rolling off hills, backing onto the Warburton trail, huge play ground for the kids and water park, groovy cafes it really has everything. 15 minute drive to lilydale, 25 to ringwood, it's a ideal location to live not too far away from the hussle and main shopping centres. Buying a house in Seville was the best thing my partner and I did

"A small town that’s going places"

I’ve lived in Seville for the last 12 years and it has changed a lot in that time. It is slowly losing its country feel, the local IGA has been replaced by Aldi and a large shopping centre incorporating Woolworths has been built. It is becoming busy, with more cafes for locals and tourists. There are some great attractions, the Warburton Trail, the Water Park, Wineries and great sporting clubs/grounds. It is a lovely town, can get busy on the highway at certain times, but certainly a lovely place to live and raise a family.

"Live in a country resort close to the city"

We moved out of the inner suburbs to about 20 acres at Seville 10 years ago and would find it extremely difficult to go back to suburban life. The views of the Yarra Valley and Yarra Ranges are spectacular ... its like living in a holiday resort permanently. Travel times to the city are acceptable; its an easy drive to Lilydale station and the train trip to the city is under 1 hour. In summer the area stays greener longer than most other country areas. In winter we sometimes get to see snow on Mt Donna Buang.

Great for

  • Animals, farms, horses etc.
  • Close to Warby Trail

"Seville"

Moved here 6 years ago for the bush/rural style of living while not being too far out. Although unfortunately this may change soon with a large shopping complex going up in the main street. Traffic is terrible at peak hour and I think it may get worse with the addition of another set of traffic lights to service the impending arrival of the shopping complex, Which i think will destroy the country/rural feel of the place. The now green space surrounding the main street will be carparks. Similar thing happened in Yarra Glen.

Great for

  • Close to Warby Trail
  • People
  • Animals, farms, horses etc.

Not great for

  • Dirt roads/dust/mud
  • Not the safest place in severe bushfire weather

"A great quite place to start a family..."

I lived in Seville for 3 years, and i would live any where else now. its so quite and about 10min drive to lilydale and 15min to ringwood. Its still nice and close to town but it feels like your ages away in the country with sheep and cows just up the road.

"Seville a balanced community"

A prosperous medium sized community nestled in the Yarra Valley. It has a strong community spirit with a good range of locally run shops. The only thing it lacks is some night life for the young.

"Great, quiet place for raising a family - or just for peace and quiet"

Seville is a small community just 10 minutes from Lilydale in the Yarra Valley.
Located just out of the outer eastern suburbs, living in Seville is like living in the country but still with city conveniences nearby.

It is a small, friendly town, with a large supermarket and a small strip of shops with chemist, fish n chips, pizza, hairdresser etc. Great place to bring up the kids, Warburton Trail runs through the town, heaps of wineries and a few good local pubs nearby.

"A great spot well out of the city"

Well and truly out of Melbourne, in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges this is a quiet and peacful area ideal for a step towards a treechange. It's a good place to raise kids.

It is not uncommon to see wildlife around and this is a real highlight for younger children.

this is certainly not the place to live if you are going to be working in the city as the commute is a bit long, but it is a lovely spot.
