"Best Kept Secret"
Slade Point is such a pretty coastal suburb. Lambert's Beach Lookout provides spectacular views and a great viewing platform in whale season. Beautiful beaches where you can swim, walk, have BBQ's and the area offers plenty of shady playgrounds for the children. A lovely sense of community with some of the best beach and nature walks in Mackay. Great surfing when the wind is up. All conveniences are available yet still only a 7 minute drive to the Harbour and into the City Heart. Those who choose to settle in Slade Point rarely ever leave.

"Cheap and Cheerful beach living"
Rent is one of the cheapest in Mackay, but still repulsive compared to other areas. Relitavely quiet, lots of cane toads and cockroaches, few convenience stores but are very expensive, relaxed lifestyle, one of the best pubs in mackay for veiw and pub food and quiet. Absolutely no broadband internet where we are, on satellite. Safe feeling and cosy.
