It's not bad, as South Shore is a reasonably safe neighborhood, though at times it is a bit dangerous at times, and while there isn't a ton to do, you can find ways to get in trouble.

South Shore is okay for singles, but is a pretty quiet neighborhood as far as nightlife. If you're interested in being closer to an area with a lot going on, this is probably not the place for you.
