So beautifully designed with plenty of parks and greenery ,feels like luxury living here, everything is available here and so handy with woolies to coles to Aldi cafes , restaurants even Bunnings just around the corner , super clean and best part is it’s super safe , great schools ,no aeroplane noise , very peaceful and family oriented you won’t regret living here

Southern River is a great new suburb with all the amenities you need for family friendly living. Homes are being built of a high quality and integrity. A future recreation center has been planned as well as shops and retail.

Southern River is an increasingly popular suburb, perfect for young families as well as downsizers. Close proximity to shopping centers, restaurants and wonderful parks and reserves.

Pros
- Bletchley Park and older sections of the suburb have generous sized blocks which are less common in suburbs similar ages
- Beautifully styled parks, playgrounds and lakes for the family to enjoy
- quiet streets within the suburbs
- multicultural neighbourhood
- popular primary schools and abundance of day care centres
- Timber and Tribeca Cafes offer great quality coffee and food
- Surrounded by local shopping centres and new Southern river shops
- Mansion style properties and large land positively affect median sale value


Cons
- some of the newer estate south of southern river road are much smaller
blocks, less established currently but zoned within the same suburb, possibly lowering overall property value in future
- about 1/4 of properties don’t upkeep their gardens and are overgrown with dried weeds & lots of rubbish floating around (possibly due to the nearby developments)
- council aren’t proactive in upkeep (but do respond relatively quickly to Snap Send Solve reports)
- not a lot of “foodie” restaurant choices in the area

I can tell Southern River is family and child friendly suburbs

This suburb is very family friendly. Homes are on large blocks & kids love running around in the open spaces and parks and there is a real sense of community.

Have really been disappointed in Southern River. Had my car stolen twice.. and whilst that could happen everywhere it hasnt happened before.

Southern River is obscured by its more established neighbour, Canning Vale and the more reknown Harrisdale & Piara Waters.
Neighbourhood is friendly and safe. There are numerous parks for outdoor living and food + amenities are stone's throw away.
It's still a fairly young residential suburb with many pockets under planning and development, but certainly one that has the potential to grow nicely if done well.
