Moving to Queensland

Hi there, my husband has been offered a job in Queensland so a big move is on the cards for us and our kids. Having only holidayed on the gold coast I am totally at a loss as where to look flit live and send my kids to school. Hubby's work is located in Springwood. I'd love some info on suburbs and primary schools to look at and the ones to avoid around that area, he doesn't mind a 30minite commute give or take.
